Designed for a young couple, this Richmond residence draws inspiration from their travels to Hawaii and Japan. Immersed in nature and the effortless calm of resort living, they sought to bring that same sense of tranquility into their West Coast home.





The main living room, used for daily tea gatherings, features materials with a distinct wabi-sabi sensibility.

In the kitchen and primary bedroom, grass-woven wallcoverings subtly evoke the gentle rhythm of a sea breeze.

The ceiling of the master ensuite is wrapped in wood panels, creating an enclosed vibe inspired by traditional Japanese hot spring hotels.
